As English Product Copywriter for Farfetch, I was tasked with writing creative copy for the UK and Portuguese-based online luxury retail platform. I collaborated with Senior Copywriters and worked with Farfetch’s in-house CMS program to write detailed descriptions for menswear, womenswear and kidswear to footwear and accessories.
Efficiency was the name of the game here, while making sure no feature was overlooked. I learned of designers’ signature details, such as Versace’s Medusa head or Vivienne Westwood’s iconic Orb, and noted the difference between an American and English rear vent in a trench coat. I was quick to familiarize myself with the high volume of the designers and brands sold on the site, while maintaining a consistent Farfetch tone of voice throughout.
